About Me

My name is Amy, and I dress the backup dancers. 

I began sewing in high school when I made my own prom dress. A few years later, I created the dresses for each of my own bridesmaids. 

Raising three children had me creating clothes, Halloween costumes, and more on a regular basis. As a side job to motherhood, I tailored and altered clothing in Buffalo, NY. I would design pieces of my own whenever I wanted a specific look and couldn’t find it on the shelves. 

When my children’s friends, and my friend’s children, started getting married, Stitches and Sips 716 was born. 

I design and create custom dresses for the backup dancers: bridesmaids, flower girls, mothers of the bride and groom, and formal wedding guests. I attended my first bridal show in January 2020, and am now an official vendor with Upstate Indie Weddings. 

Custom formal wear is my specialty, but I also create unique pieces to purchase. I source fabric from in-person and online retailers, and YOU get to see and touch all fabric samples to choose the one that will best make your vision a reality.
